mozilla googlebar logook, now there’s no reason to use internet explorer anymore: until now the google toolbar was the only way to find out google page rank (read my entry “how to judge a website’s reach” if you don’t know what page rank is for). and this toolbar is only available for IE on windows.

now finally somebody has released the firefox extension “googlebar – pagerank edition“. just make sure you have mozilla firefox and the firefox extension googlebar installed before you install the page rank edition.

i have always been asking myself why google supports it’s major competitor microsoft by exclusively supporting its product. finally this has changed (as i suppose this hasn’t happened without google approval).

update: the author of this extension is only 15 or 16 years old. and there has been no approval from big G, so i expect the extension to stop working anytime soon due to a changed checksum froom google’s side. :-(
